HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1982-127-O-821. 12/8/82 • 127-0-82 AN ORDINANCE .Granting Variations and a Special Use at 2100 Dempster WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on November 23, 1982 and again on December 7, 1982, upon the applica- tion of Reed L. Beidler, as beneficiary of LaSalle National Bank & Trust Company of Chicago as Trustee under Trust No..101306 for variations from the use and yard obstruction regulations and special use at 2100 Dempster Street to permit the installation of up to two satellite antennae in the rear yard, and a special use to permit construction of a 160-foot television tower on property located in an M3 Restricted Manufacturing District; said hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the i application for said variations and special use be granted; • �' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF i� EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: • SECTION 1: That the application of Reed L. Beidler, as beneficiary of LaSalle National Bank & Trust Company of Chicago as Trustee under Trust No.101306 for variations from the use and yard obstruction regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the installation of up to two satellite antennae in the rear, yard, and a special use to permit construction of a f 160=foot high television tower in.the rear yard on the property located at 2100 Dempster Street and legally described as follows: That portion of the'North half of the Northeast Quarter of j the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, Township 41 North, Range I ,13 East of the Third Principal Meridian lying West of the right of way of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway (except the North 33.0 feet thereof and except the West 33.0 feet there- of dedicated for streets) AND Lots 1, 2, 3 and the North half E of Lot 4, Lot 23 (except the South 7.0 feet thereof), all of Lot 24, together with the vacated Alley lying between said t Lots 1, 2, 3, 22, 23, and 24; and Vacated Crain Street lying North of and adjoining said Lots 1 and 24, and that part of Vacated Grey Avenue lying East of and adjoining said Lots 1, 2, 3 and the North half of Lot 4 and Westerly of the right 1 of way of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway, all in Block 2 of Grover and Pitner's Addition to Evanston, a subdivision j of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of the 1 Northwest quarter of Section 24, Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. j 127-0-82 i is granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable laws. • SECTION 2. The Director of Building and Zoning is hereby directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms of this ordinance.
