HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1983-112-O-8310/25/83 112-0-83 AN ORDINANCE Granting Special Uses and Variations at 2320 Pioneer Road • WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on October 18, 1983 upon the application regarding 2320 Pioneer Road by the Swedish Retirement Association for a special use to permit (1) remodeling of the center section of the southernmost building; (2) to allow installation of two ground mounted identification signs; and (3) for variations from the yard obstruction and sign regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit installation of two pole mounted double-faced directional signs to the off-street parking area for said property, located in an R5 General Residence District; said hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner . prescribed by law;.and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said special uses and variations be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of the Swedish Retirement Association for (1) a special use to permit remodeling of the center section of the southernmost building;.(2) to allow installation of two ground mounted identification signs, one for each building; and (3) for variations from the yard obstruction and sign regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit installation of two pole mounted double faced directional signs to the off-street • parking on the property located at 2320 Pioneer Road and legally described as: 112-0-83 All of Block 7 in John Culver's Subdivision in the NW 1/4 of SPA 1/4 of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois • is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the condition that the two pole mounted double faced directional signs which are the subject of the variation shall be set back a minimum of two (2) feet from the public sidewalks. SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning is hereby directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms of this ordinance.
