Home My WebLink AboutORDINANCES-1983-003-O-8341 12/29/82 1/4/83 3-0-83 AN ORDINANCE Amending City Code Section 10-4-12 'Pertaining to Street Cleaning Districts NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That paragraph A, Section 10-4-12 of the Code of the to read as follows: City of Evanston, 1979, as amended, shall be amended 10-4-12: Street Cleaning (A) District One: All that part of the City lying east and south of the boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the south City limits and the west line of Ridge Avenue; thence north along said west line of Ridge Avenue to a point, being the intersection of said west line and the south line of Oakton Street; thence west along the said south line of Oakton Street to a point, being the intersection of said south line and the west line of Asbury Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Asbury Avenue to a point, being the inter- section of said west line and the north line of Dempster • Street; thence east along the said north line of Dempster Street to the center line of the right of way of the Milwaukee Division of the Chicago and Northwestern Rail- road; thence south along the railroad right of way to the north line of Greenleaf Street; thence east along the said north line of Greenleaf Street to the east City Limits. Between the hours of nine o'clock (9:00) A.M. and four o'clock (4:00) P.M. 1. On the SOUTH side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and westerly direction and on the WEST side of all streets and public thoroughfares extend- ing in a general northerly and southerly direction on each TUESDAY. 2. On the NORTH side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and westerly direction and on the EAST side of all streets and public thoroughfares extend- ing in a general northerly and southerly direction on each WEDNESDAY. (Ord. 103-0-79) SECTION 2: That paragraph B of Section 10-4-12 of the Code of the City of Evanston, 1979, as amended be further amended to read as follows: (B) District Two: All that part of the city lying west and south of the boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the south City limits and the west line of Ridge Avenue, thence north to a point, being the inter- section of the said west line of Ridge Avenue and the south line of Oakton Street; thence west along the said 0 south line of Oakton Street to a point, being the inter- section of said south line and the west line of Asbury Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Asbury Avenue to a poi.nt, being the intersection of said west line and the north line of Dempster Street; thence west along said north line of Dempster Street to a point being the intersection of said north line and the west line of Dodge Avenue; thence south along said west line of Dodge Avenue to a point being the intersection of said west line and the north line of Greenleaf Street; thence west along the said north line of Greenleaf Street to the west City limits. (Ord. 118-0-80) SECTION 3: That paragraph C of Section 10-4-12 of the Code of the City of Evanston, 1979 as amended, be further amended to read as follows: • (Z) District Three: All that part of the City lying west of the boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the west City limits and the north line of Greenleaf Street; thence east along said north line of Greenleaf Street to a point, being the intersection of said north line and the west line of Dodge Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Dodge Avenue to a point being the intersection of said west line and the north line of Dempster Street; thence east along said north line of Dempster Street to a point being the intersection of said north line and the west line.of Asbury Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Asbury Avenue to a point, being the intersection of said west line and the center of the right of way of the Milwaukee Division of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad; thence northwesterly along the center of the said right of way to a point, being the intersection of the center of.the said right of way and the southeast line of McCormick -Boulevard; thence southwesterly along the said southeast line of McCormick Boulevard to the west City limits Between the hours of one o'clock (1:00).A.M. and eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. 1. On the SOUTH side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and westerly direction and on • the WEST side of all streets and public thoroughfares extend- ing in a general northerly and southerly direction on each MONDAY. 2. On the NORTH side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and westerly direction and on the EAST side of all streets and public thoroughfares extend- ing in a general northerly and southerly direction on each THURSDAY. (Ord. 63-0-79) -2- r SECTION 4: That paragraph D of Section 10-4-12 of the Code of the City of Evanston, 1979, as amended, shall be amended } to read as follows: (D) District Four: All that part of the City lying east of the boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the east City limits and the north line of Greenleaf Street; thence west along said north line of Greenleaf Street to a point, being the intersection of said north line and the centerline of the right of way of the Milwaukee Division of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad; thence northwesterly along the center of the said right of way to a point, being the intersection of the center of the said right of way and the north line of Dempster Street; thence west along the said north line of Dempster Street to a point, being the intersection of said north line and the west line of Asbury Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Asbury Avenue to a point, being the intersection of said west line and the center'of_ the right of way of the Milwaukee Division of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad; thence northwesterly along the center of the said right of way to a point, being the intersection of the center of the said right of way and the north line of Simpson Street; thence east along the said north line of Simpson Street to the east City limits. i Between the hours of one o'clock (1:00) A.M. and eight j o'clock (8:00) A.M.
