Granting a Special Use at !� 1554-64 Sherman Avenue WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on October 16, 1984 upon the application of the A.K.L. Corporation, d/b/a American Plaza Associates Company, as sole beneficiary under the First Illinois Bank of Evanston, f' ;j Trust R-1809, for a special use to permit construction of a I t satellite earth station on the parking garage roof, which will I; I ;I be visible from the street adjoining the lot, located at 1554-64 Sherman Avenue, property located in a B5 Business �I District; said hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and ,I �+ WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended �f that the application for said variation and said special use be ,i granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF !� THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: 1� SECTION 1: That the application of A.K.L. i Corporation, d/b/a American Plaza Associates Company, as sole beneficiary under the First Illinois Bank of Evanston, Trust R-1809, for a special use to permit construction of.a satellite i earth station on the parking garage roof, property located at 1554-64 Sherman Avenue and legally described as follows: Parcel 1: Lots 8, 9, 10 and 11 in P. Judson's Subdivision of Lot 1 in Langworthy's subdivision of Block 64 in Evanston in the south west 1/4 of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14 east of the third principal meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; Parcel 2: All of Lots 9, 10 and 11 and that part of lots 7, 8 and of the vacated alleys in said lots and of the vacated alley lying south and adjoining said lot 7 and north adjoining U I I (Yc7 0-84 said lots 8 and 9 all in Langworthy's Subdivision of block 64 in Evanston lying east of a line described as follows: Commencing at the south east corner of Lot 8 aforesaid; thence north 89 degrees 56 minutes 20 seconds west along the south line of said lot 8, 7.13 feet to the place of beginning of that herein described line; thence north 20 degrees 32 minutes 30 seconds west to the north line of lot 7 in Langworthy's Subdivision, aforesaid, all in the south west 1/4 of Section 18, township 41 north, Range 14 east of the third principal meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable laws. SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning is hereby directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms of this ordinance.
