AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Variation and Special Use
at 1901 Green Bay Road
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals
conducted a public hearing on October 16, 1984, upon the
application of Fred Wertymer as sole beneficiary under the
First National Bank of Highland Park, Trust 3696, for a
variation from the screening requirements of the Zoning
Ordinance to permit parking areas to be-unscreened, and for a
special use to permit establishment of an open sales lot on the
property located at 1901 Green Bay Road, Evanston, Illinois,
property located in a C2 Commercial Zoning District; said
public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and
publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said variation and special use be
granted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLI140IS:
SECTION 1: That the application of Fred Wertymer
as sole beneficiary under the First
National Bank of Highland Park, Trust 3696, for a variation
from the screening requirements of the Zoning Ordinance to
permit parking areas to be unscreened, and for a special use to
permit establishment of an open sales lot on the property
located at 1901 Green Bay Road, Evanston, Illinois and legally
described as follows:
Lot 1 in ENSREC subdivision, a part of the Northwest 1/4
of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 18, Township 41 North, j
Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian and part of
the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 13,
Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in the City of Evanston, in Cook County,
Illinois,

is granted subject to certain conditions documented in Section
2 below and subject to compliance with all other applicable
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable laws.
SECTION 2: That said variation and special
use is subject to the.following
conditions:
1. The south curb cut shall prohibit left turn
egress.
2. A landscaped strip of adequate width shall be
installed from the south curb cut to the south end
of the property with parking bumpers installed
inside of said landscaping, as per site plan
incorporated herein as Exhibit A.
3. Landscape design and plant materials shall be
approved by the Director of Planning.
SECTION 3: The Director of Building and Zoning is
hereby directed to issue such permits
pursuant to the terms of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
