AN ORDINANCE
Amending Section 6-9-2-10 of
the City Code Concerning
Business District Parking
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Amendment Committee
conducted public hearings on April 19, 1984, May 3, 1984, and

June 7, 1984, upon a reference from the Evanston City Council `
to consider amending the Evanston Zoning Ordinance to extend to
all Business and Commercial Districts the off-street parking
amendments enacted in Ordinances 75-0-82, 50-0-83 and 18-0-84
(Wards 1-9); said public hearings having been conducted
pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner
prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, based upon evidence presented at the 11
hearings, findings of fact, consideration of existing
conditions, conservation of property values and the direction_
of building development to the best advantage of the entire
city, the Evanston Zoning Amendment Committee has recommended
that certain amendments are required for the public good.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF.�

THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That Section 6-9-2-10, "Required Number j
of Off -Street Parking Spaces," of the
Evanston City Code, 1979, as amended, be and hereby is further
amended by adding Subsection ME):
6-9-2-10 (EE) All permitted and Notwithstanding other

special uses in Bl, required parking formulae
B2 and B3 Districts in Section 6-9-2-10,
except dwelling one parking space for each
units. 350 square feet in excess
of 2000 square feet.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
