HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1984-054-O-844/16/84 54-0-84 AN ORDINANCE Authoring the Lease of • a Portion of Public Right -of -Way at the Intersection of Hurd and Hartzell Streets WHEREAS, the City of Evanston owns the real property as shaded in the site plan marked as Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, which real property is a portion of the right-of-way at the intersection of Hurd and Hartzell Streets located in the City of Evanston, Illinois; and ' i WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has determined j that it is no longer necessary, or appropriate, or in the best interest of thel City of Evanston that it retain use of said real estate, and that said real- . estate is not required for the.use of, or profitable to, the City of Evanston;; and WHEREAS, Mr. Paul Tobin has proposed to lease said portion of the •right-of-way at the intersection of Hurd and Hartzell Streets; and i WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the best interest of the City of Evanston and its residents will be served by,the execution of the lease; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed .to � to sign, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf of the City of Evanston a lease by and between the City of Evanston, Illinois, as lessor, and Mr. Paul Tobin, as lessee, for a portion of the right-of-way at the intersection of Hurd and Hartzell Streets, Evanston, Illinois, described in Exhibit A. Said lease shall be on substan- tially the terms as set forth in the lease marked as Exhibit B attached hereto.
