AN ORDINANCE
• Granting Substitution of an
Off -Street Parking Plan
at 1615 Oak Avenue
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals
conducted a public hearing on March 13, 1984 upon the
application by Sam Lederman and Donald J. Grossman as

beneficiaries of the LaSalle National Bank, Trust 10-23374-09,
and the National Merchants Exchange, Inc. (tenant), for (A) a
release from conditions one and two imposed by the Zoning Board
of Appeals in connection with Case 81-43-V(F) to permit
substitution of an off-street parking plan with seven spaces,
last date stamped February 2, 1984, for the previously approved
plan; (B) variations from the off-street parking regulations of
the Zoning Ordinance with respect to module width and aisle
width to permit a zero -foot aisle width and 18.5 foot module
• width; and (C) a special use to permit installation of said
parking spaces within a front yard and within•25 feet of the
front line, concerning 1615 Oak Avenue, Evanston, Illinois,
property located in a B4 Business District; said public hearing
having been conducted pursuant to -notice and publication
thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said release, variation and special
use be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the application of Sam Lederman and
Donald J. Grossman for (A) a release from

off-street parking plan with seven spaces, last date stamped

February 2, 1984, for the previously approved plan; (B)
variations from the off-street parking regulations of the
Zoning Ordinance with respect to module width and aisle width
to permit a zero -foot aisle width and 18.5 foot module width;
and (C) a special use to permit installation of said parking
spaces within a front yard and within 25 feet of the front
line, at 1615 Oak Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, and legally
described as follows:
Lots 7 and 8 (except the South 134 ft. of said Lots)
in Block 67 in Evanston, in Section 18, Township 41
North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
is granted subject to compliance with all other applicable
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and
the condition that screening and landscaping shall be as
depicted in the plan approved April 23, 1984 marked as Exhibit
A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning is
ordered and directed to grant such
permits or certificates of occupancy as shall be required. to
effectuate the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals,
and the variations granted thereunder.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
