AN ORDINANCE
Granting Variation from Use Regulations
of Zoning Ordinance to Permit ,
Construction of a' -One -Story Addition
. at 1227-35,Dodge Avenue '
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public
hearing on February 21, 1984 upon the application by'Herbert A. Keats and
Glenn A. Keats for a variation from the use regulations of the Zoning
Ordinance to permit construction of a one-story addition and expansion of a
manufacturing use into said addition on property located at 1227-35 Dodge
Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, property located in a C2 commercial District;
said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication
thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the
application for said variation be granted;
NOW, THEREFDRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That thg ai)plication of Herbert A. Keats and Glenn A.
Keats for a variation from the use regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to
permit construction of a one-story addition and expansion of a manufacturing
use into said addition on property located at 1227-35Dodge Avenue, Evanston,
Illinois, and legally described as follows:
Lots 36, 37, 38 and 39 in Block 1 in Golee•'s.Resubdivision
of Blocks 4 and 5 and 8 in Chase and Pitner's Addition
to Evanston in the Northwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 24,•-and the South half.•of the Southwest
quarter of the Southeast quarter (except the North 7.12 feet)
in Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13-,, East of'the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
is granted subject to compliance with all other applicable -provisions of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City Code of the City of Evanston, 1979, as amended,
• and all other applicable laws.

SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning is ordered.and
di rected.:tQ-,,,rapt such permits or certificates of
occupancy as shall be required to effectuate the recommendations of the
Zoning Board of Appeals, and the variations granted thereunder.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
