HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1984-015-O-841/26/84 i 2/22/84 ; i 15-0-84 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use and Release • at 1100 Forest Avenue ` WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted public hearings on December 20, 1983 and January 17, 1984, upon the application of j; Cove School, Inc., for a special use to permit remodeling and expansion of t I the existing private school facilities and to grant release from Condition ` (4) of Ordinance 97-0-71 to allow a maximum of 108 pupils instead of the maximum of 80 pupils now allowed, all on property located at 1100 Forest ' Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, property located in a R1 Single -Family Residential District; said hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publica- tion thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said special use and release be granted; and WHEREAS, the Cove -School is committed to making a good faith effort • i to prohibit operators of buses delivering children to or from the premises 1 from parking on the streets adjacent to subject property for longer than thirty (30) minutes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: i SECTION 1: That the application of Cove School, Inc., to grant a i �I special use .to permit remodeling and expansion of the existing private school facilities, and to grant release from Condition (4) of Ordinance 97-0-71 to allow a maximum of 108 pupils instead of the maximum of 80 pupils now allowed, on property located at 1100 Forest Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as follows: Parcel 1: I Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 (except the north • 20 feet of said Lot 15 conveyed to the City of Evanston for use as an alley by deed dated April 28, 1894 and recorded June 26, 1894 in Book 4352, Page 203, as Document No. 2065497), in Block 79 of Northwestern University Subdivision of that part of the North 1/2 j of the North 1/2 of Section 19, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian lying East of Chicago Avenue except the 15-1/2 acres in the North East corner thereof in Cook County, Illinois U • • j 1/26/84 I 2/22/84 �i t 15-0-84 s Al so Parcel 2: i That part of the aforesaid Block 79 described as follows: !.
