i Granting a Variation and Special
I Use at 821-27 Washington

i WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals
!conducted a public hearing on January 17, 1984 upon the
liapplication by the Trustees of Schools of Evanston Township
(owner) for a variation from the gross lot coverage regulations
of the Zoning Ordinance to permit a gross lot coverage of 840
on the property located at 821-27 Washington Street, instead of
the maximum of 65% allowed, and for a special use to permit
installation of a proposed parking lot on said property in
order to provide a part of the required parking for the
proposed change of use of the existing building at 828 Main
Street from a public school to an office building, all on
property located in an R6 General Residence District; said
hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and
• publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said variation and special use be
granted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That -the -application of the Trustees of
Schools of Evanston Township.(owner) for a variation from the
gross lot coverage regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to
permit a gross lot coverage of 840 on the property located at
821-27 Washington Street, instead of the maximum of 650
allowed, and for a special use to permit installation of a
proposed parking lot on said property in order to provide a

is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of

is hereby directed to issue such permit

and effect from and after its passage,
