AN ORDINANCE
Amending Section 10-4-15.5
and Section 10-11-10, Schedule X
• of the Evanston City.Code, 1979.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF EVANSTON, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION 1: That the Evanston City Code, 1979, Section 10-4-15.5;
LIMITED PARKING PERMITTED, is amended to read

(A) Whenever signs are erected in each City block or at the entrance
and exit of any City reserved parking space area giving notice
�t thereof, no person shall park a motor vehicle fora period
greater than that designated in Schedule X, Section 10-11-10 of
" this Title, upon those streets, portions of streets or City

reserved parking space areas. indicated in said Schedule on any
day except Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays.
(B) Residential Exemption Parking Permits - The City Manager is
hereby authorized to issue Residential Exemption Parking Permits
to residents within a defined area to park for a period exceeding
the posted time limit without penalty. Permits shall be issued
upon the following conditions:

1. The Vehicle Operator must provide proof of residence within

the designated exemption area.
2. If the resident's vehicle is required to have an Evanston

Vehicle License, proof of purchase of said license must be shown
prior to the issuing of a Residential Exemption'Parking Permit.
If the resident's vehicle is not legally required to have an

Evanston Vehicle License, the Vehicle Operator must provide proof
of residence within the designated district and must provide
information about the registration of the vehicle.
SECTION 2: That the Evanston City Code, 1979, as amended, be and
hereby is further amended by adding to Section 10-11-10,

Schedule X; LIMITED PARKING, the following:

(F) Exceptions - A vehicle displaying a current Residential Exemption
Parking Permit for a designated district may be parked for a

period exceeding the posted time limit without penalty on those
streets within the designated district.
1. Residential Exemption Parking District "B":
Church Street Hinman Avenue to Judson Avenue,
both sides.
Church Street Judson Avenue to Sheridan Road,
south side.
Davis Street Hinman Avenue to Forest Place,
both sides.

Lake Street Hinman Avenue to Judson Avenue,
both sides.
Lake Street Judson Avenue to Forest Avenue,
north side.

both sides.
Greenwood Street Hinman Avenue to Judson Avenue,
south side.
Hinman Avenue Greenwood Street to Lake Street,
west side.
Hinman Avenue Grove Street to Clark Street,
both sides.
Judson Avenue Greenwood Street to Lake Street,
east side.
Judson Avenue Lake Street to Church Street,
both sides.
Forest Place Davis Street to Church Street,
west side.
Those residents having a legal address upon the streets or portions
of streets in the area defined below are eligible to apply for
and receive permits for Residential Exemption Parking Di.strict "B":
Clark Street from the north -south alley west of Hinman Avenue to
Sheridan Road; Sheridan Road from Clark Street to Greenwood
Street; Greenwood Street from Sheridan Road to Forest Avenue;
Forest Avenue from Greenwood Street to Dempster Street; Dempster
Street from Forest Avenue to the north -south alley west of Hinman
Avenue; and the north -south alley west of Hinman Avenue from
Dempster Street to Clark Strreet.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in.full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and publication in
the manner ov'ded by law.
