AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use at 1827 Emerson Street
• WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals
conducted a public hearing on July 16, 1985 upon the
application of Willie Grant, Jr. and Marie E. Grant for a
special use to permit retention of a fast-food restaurant at
1827 Emerson, property located in a B1 Business District; said
hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and
publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said special use be granted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTIpN 1: That the application of Willie Grant,
Jr. and Marie E. Grant for a special use
. to permit retention of a fast-food restaurant on the property
located at 1827 Emerson and legally described as follows:
Lot 17 in Block 4 in McNeill's Addition to Evanston in the
northwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 in Section 13, Township
41 north, range 13, east of the third principal meridian,
in Cook County, Illinois
is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of
the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following
conditions:
(a) that the special use shall be limited to the
owners at time of application; and
.(b) that the menu for food service shall be in
substantial conformance to that described in the
transcript of public hearing held July 16, 1985.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning is
hereby directed to issue such permits
pursuant to the terms of this ordinance.
is SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
and.effect from and after its passage and
approval in th manner provided by law.
