AN ORDINANCE
Granting Variations and a Special Use
at 2044 Sheridan Road
• WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals
conducted a public hearing on August 19, 1986 and again on
September 16, 1986 upon the application of William E. O'Neil,
Jr. and Rosemary O'Neil for variations from the yard
obstruction and off-street parking regulations of the Zoning
Ordinance to permit off-street parking in the front yard and a
special use to permit two curb cuts on Sheridan Road, at 2044
Sheridan Road, Evanston, Illinois, property located in a U2
University District; said hearings having been conducted
pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner
prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said variations and a special use be
granted,
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the application of William E.
O'Neil, Jr. and Rosemary O'Neil for
variations from the yard obstruction and off-street parking
regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit off-street
parking in the front yard and a special use to permit two curb
cuts on Sheridan Road at 2044 Sheridan Road, Evanston,
Illinois, and legally described as follows:
Lot 5 in Block 83 in the Subdivision of Northwestern
University of parts of Sections 7 and 18, Township 41
North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
according to the map thereof recorded February 13, 1875 as
Document No. 13935 in Book 9 of plats, page 36, in Cook
County, Illinois, 1

is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of I
• the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following
conditions:
1. The variation and special use granted herein shall
terminate when the use of the premises for
single-family dwelling purposes is discontinued;

2. The proposed construction shall be in substantial
ccmpliance with the revised plan dated September 9,
1986;
3. A covenant of agreement to the above terms and
conditions shall be executed and recorded by the
applicants, and copies of the recorded covenant shall
• be filed with the Law Department and the Director of
Building and Zoning of the City of Evanston.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning
is hereby directed to issue such permits
pursuant to the terms of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
