AN ORDINANCE
Vacating Public Alleys
North of Greenwood Street
and West from Dodge Avenue
• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTIONI: That the public alleys abutting 1424 Dodge Avenue
and 1909-15 Greenwood Street and legally described
as follows:
That part of the 15.50 foot public alley in Block 6 lying North
of and adjoining Lot 18, bounded on the East by the East line
extended North, of said Lot 18 and bounded on the West by a
diagonal line drawn from a point on the East line of said Block,
said point being 423.31 feet North of the Southeast corner of
said Block, as measured along said East line, to a point on the
South line of said Block, 174.18 feet West of the Southeast Corner
of said Block, as measured along said South line, and lying South
of and adjoining Lot 1; together with that part of the 15.50 foot
public alley lying South of and adjoining Lot 20 and lying North
of and adjoining Lots 12 to 14, bounded on the West by the afore -
described diagonal line and bounded on the East by another diagonal
line drawn from a point 227.65 feet North of the Southeast corner
of said Block, as measured on said East line to a point on the
South line of said Block 93.74 feet West of the Southeast corner
of said Block, as measuured on said South line, all in Charles E.
• Browne's Addition to Evanston, a Subdivision of the Southeast 1/4
of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
as indicated by the words "Hereby Vacated" on the Plat of Vacation attached
hereto and, for greater certainty, incorporated into this ordinance, be and
hereby are vacated and closed, inasmuch as the corporate authorities of the
City of Evanston has determined that the public interest will be served by
the aforesaid vacation, provided that said vacation shall be subject to the
following terms and conditions:
(a) That said vacation shall be subject to the usual easements
for public utilities, including, but not limited to, such
rights -of -way, license and easement rights to such equipment
as is presently installed and located on those portions of
the public right-of-way hereby closed and the rights of
ingress and egress for the maintenance, renewal and
• reconstruction thereof.

(b) That a statement from the County Clerk is endorsed on the
Plat of Vacation showing -that no delinquent general taxes,
unpaid current.general taxes, delinquent special assessments
or unpaid current general taxes, delinquent special assess-
ments or unpaid current special assessments is against the
afordescribed land.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect -from
and after its passage, approval and publication of the
consideration stated herein, all in the manner provided.
