HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1987-083-O-878/19/87 mmull": AN ORDINANCE Granting Variations and Special Use at 2024 Ewing Avenue, Evanston WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals t conducted a public hearing on August 4, 1987 upon the application of Sal Pascarella and Karen Pascarella for variations from the side yard and nonconforming building regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit construction of a room addition and a special use to permit construction of a raised patio in the required side yard, at 2024 Ewing Avenue, property located in an Rl Single -Family Residence District; said hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said variations and special use be granted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF • THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of Sal Pascarella and Karen Pascarella for variations from the side yard and nonconforming building regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit construction of a room addition and a special use to permit construction of a raised patio in the required side yard on property located at 2024 Ewing Avenue and legally described as follows: Lot 11 in Radle's lst Addition to Evanston, being a subdivision of that part of the West 78 rods of the North 20 1/2 rods of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying Easterly of center of highway running through said property as shown by plat recorded April 30, 1879, in Book 14 of Plats, Page 52 as Document No. 220114 and of the North 312.25 feet of Lot 32 in Robertson's Addition to Evanston, being a subdivision of Happs Subdivision in the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook • County, Illinois is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following conditions: 83-0-87 i 1. The proposed construction shall be in substantial compliance with the plans presented at the hearing in I connection with this case; and 2. the proposed raised patio shall not extend further than six (6) feet in a westerly direction as measured from the west face of said addition. • SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning is hereby directed to issue such permits i pursuant to the terms of this ordinance. SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
