HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1987-116-O-8711/3/87 • • 116-0-87 I AN ORDINANCE I i� Granting Variations and a Special Use at 1801 Emerson Street WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on October 20, 1987 upon the i application of the the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Evanston for variations from the side yard, yard obstruction �and nonconforming building regulations of the Zoning Ordinance I to permit construction of an addition and a handicapped access ,i ramp on the east side of the church and for a special use to I allow expansion of the church at 1801 Emerson Street, Evanston, j Illinois, located in an.R5 General Residence District; said hearing -having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed bylaw; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended i that the application for said variations and special use be �I itgranted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF i� THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: i SECTION 1: That the application of the Springfield i Missionary Baptist Church of Evanston for variations from the side yard, yard obstruction and iI nonconforming building regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit construction of an addition and a handicapped access �i �i ramp on the east side of the church and for a special use to i allow expansion of the church at 1801 Emerson Street, Evanston, Illinois and legally described as follows: The East 15 ft. of Lot 22 and all of Lot 23 in Block 4 in McNeill's Addition to Evanston, a Subdivision of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois be granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the condition that the proposed construction be in substantial compliance with the testimony presented and the plans placed on file in 116-0-87 li connection with this case. 11 SECTION 2: The Director of Building & Zoning is hereby directed to issue such permits pursuant to the terms of this ordinance. j • SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
