AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Release of Utility
Easement for the Property located at 2048-56 Greenbay Road
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has heretofore vacated
the alley right-of-way for the property adjacent to 2048-56
Greenbay Road, Evanston, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the City as part of the vacation process
reserved unto itself a utility easement for maintenance repair
and installation of equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has no water or sewer
lines within said vacated alley right-of-way and therefore has
no need for access to said vacated alley right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, Public Storage Incorporated, the purchaser
of said property has requested that the City relinquish and
abandon any easement rights on said property; and
WHEREAS, said easement is no longer necessary,
appropriate, required for the use of, profitable to, or in the
best interest of the City of Evanston.
• SECTION 1: That the City Manager of the City of
Evanston is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a release of easement for the property
described as follows:
SEE EXHIBIT A
SECTION 2: That said Release and Abandonment of
Utility Easement shall be in substantial
conformity to the release marked as Exhibit B attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.

RELEASE AND ABANDONMENT OF UTILITY EASEMENT
The City of Evanston hereby releases and abandons all
easement rights, if any, on the property legally described as:
PARCEL 41: Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Block 1 in Doyles
Addition to Evanston, being a Subdivision of part of
the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast quarter of
Section 12 and the Northeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter in Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in cook County,
Illinois. ALSO
PARCEL 42: Those part of Lots 9 and 10, all of Lots 11
and 12 in Block 1 of Doyle's Addition to Evanston, part
of Block 13 in Evanston Centre Addition and that part
of a strip of a land lying between Blocks 1 and 13 and
• situated in the Northeast quarter of the Northeast
