AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use at 2045 Sheridan Road
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals
conducted a public hearing on October.18, 1988, upon the
application of Northwestern University, for a special use to
permit removal of a single curb cut on Sheridan Road now
serving parking lot #6 and installation of two curb cuts in its
place on the property located at 2045 Sheridan Road, in the U6
University Lakefront Campus District; said public hearing
having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication
thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said special use be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and
testimony presented at the hearing, and
upon deliberations and findings of fact contained in the
transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 88-28-V(R),
the application of Northwestern University, for a special use
z to permit removal of a single curb cut on Sheridan Road now
serving parking lot #6 and installation of two curb cuts in its
3 place on the property located at 2045 Sheridan Road and legally
described as follows:
That part of fractional Section 7, Township 41 North,
Range 14 East of the 3rd Principal Meridian in the City of
Evanston, County of Cook and State of Illinois described as
follows:
Commencing at a point on the South line of said Section 7
at its intersection with the East line of Sheridan Road;
thence North along the said East line of Sheridan Road
four hundred (400) feet;.thence East on a line parallel to
the South line of said Section 7 five -hundred sixty seven
and fifteen one -hundredths (567.15) feet; thence South on
a line parallel to the East line of said Sheridan Road'
four hundred (400) feet to the South line of said Section
7; thence West along the South line•of said Section 7,
five hundred sixty seven and fifteen one -hundredths
(567.15) feet to the place of beginning.

the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable laws, and the

following conditions:(a) said construction shall be in
substantial compliance with the testimony presented and the
plans placed on file in connection with this case, and
(b) all proposed signage with respect to
egress from the parking lot shall be coordinated with the City
Traffic Engineer and the Illinois Department of Transportation
prior to installation.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
