HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1988-056-O-88AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use at 2416 Dempster Street WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals e • conducted a public hearing on July 19, 1988 upon the application of the 2416 Dempster Corporation doing business as Evanston Car Wash, as beneficiary under the American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, Trust 45809 for a special use to permit structural alterations to the rear of the building which is occupied by an automobile laundry, for the purpose of installing a garage door and bay for detailing of automobiles on the property located at 2416 Dempster Street, in a Cl Commercial District; said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said special use be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF • THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and testimony presented at the hearing, and upon deliberations and findings of fact contained in the transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 88-22-SU(R), the application of the 2416 Dempster Corporation doing business as Evanston Car Wash, as beneficiary under the American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, Trust 45809 for a special use to permit structural alterations to the rear of the building which is occupied by an automobile laundry, for the purpose of installing a garage door and bay for detailing of automobiles on the property located at 2416 Dempster Street and legally described as follows: PARCEL 1: Lots 21, 22, 23 and 24 (except the West 100 feet • thereof) in Block 3 in Pitner and Sons Third Addition to Evanston, said Addition being a subdivision of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 24, Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. • • PARCEL 2: The North 15 feet of the East 71 feet of Lot 20 in Block 3 in Pitner and Sons Third Addition to Evanston as aforesaid all in Cook County, Illinois. is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable laws. R SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
