AN ORDINANCE
Amending the District Map of
Evanston Zoning Ordinance
by Rezoning 2734 Central Street
WHEREAS, the Zoning Amendment Committee conducted
public hearings on April 21 and May 19,1988, to consider the
petition by Effie Venetos and John S. Venetos, property owners,
to rezone 2734 Central Street from B1 Business District to R6
General Residence District, said hearing having been held
pursuant to notice and publication in the manner prescribed by
law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Amendment Committee has
recommended, based on evidence presented at those public
hearings, findings of fact, consideration of existing
conditions, conservation of property values and the direction
of building development to the best advantage cif the entire
City, that the Evanston District Map of the Zoning Ordinance be
• amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the Evanston Zoning Ordinance,
adopted November 21, 1960, as amended, be
and hereby is further amended by reclassifying from Bl Business
District to R6 General Residence the property legally described
as follows:
Lot 8 in Block 3 in E.T. Paul's Addition to Evanston in
the North East Fractional Quarter of Section 11, Township
41 North,.Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Cook County, Illinois,
commonly known as 2734 Central Street, Evanston, Illinois.
SECTION 2: The o.fficial.District Map of the
Evanston Zoning Ordinance, as amended,
• shall be further amended in accordance with the
reclassification set forth in this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
