AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use at 2118 Jackson
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals
conducted a public hearing on April 19, 1988 upon the
application of Brian Meister, Constance Aburano and Penny
Nordman for a special use to permit use of the premises,
including an addition to the existing building as a child care
institution, at 2118 Jackson Avenue, property located in a Cl
Commercial District; said public hearing having been conducted
pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner
prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said special use be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
t* SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and
testimony presented at the hearing, and
upon deliberations and, findings of fact contained in the
transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 88-6-SU(R),
the application of Brian Meister, Constance Aburano and Penny
Nordman for a special use to permit use of the premises,
including an addition to the existing building as a child care
institution at 2118 Jackson Avenue, property located in a Cl
Commercial District and legally described as follows:
Lot 4 in Block 11 in Evanston Centre Addition being that
part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section
13, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, lying West of the Railroad and West of.
that part of the Big Ditch West of the railroad, and that
part of the North 330 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the
Northwest 1/4 of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13,
Lying West of the Big Ditch and East 66 feet of the
• Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 12, Township
41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Cook County, Illinois
is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of

the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following
conditions:
1. Said day care institution shall comply with all other
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and all other
applicable laws;
2. the day care institution shall be operated in
substantial conformity with the testimony presented
at the hearing;
3. the number of children in attendance at any one time
shall be limited to a maximum of thirty-three;
4. in the event the child care institution is
discontinued, the existing building on the premises
shall be limited to use as a single-family dwelling
or any other use that may be permitted by the Zoning
Ordinance at.the time said child care institution is
discontinued.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
