HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1989-110-O-89u jU-89 110-0-89 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Variation from Use Regulations at 611 South Boulevard go WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on June 20, 1989, July 18, 1989, August 15, 1989 and August 22, 1989, upon the application of The Reba Place Church for a variation from the use regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit alterations and a change in use of the existing building for church related uses on the property located 611 South Boulevard, Evanston, Illinois, located in an M3 Restricted Manufacturing District; said public hearing having d been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said variation be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and testimony presented at the hearing, and upon deliberations and findings of fact contained in the transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 89-12-V(R), the application of The Reba Place Church for a variation from the use regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit alterations and a change in use of the existing building for church related uses on the property located 611 South Boulevard, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as follows: The South 99.25 Feet of each of Lots 11, 12, and 13 in Block 8 in Keeney and Rinn's Addition to Evanston being the South 1/2 of the South 1/2 and the South 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 19, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian, also all of the North 1/2 of the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 19, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian, West of Railroad and the West • 40 Feet of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 20, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of .. a t rr.!"r . t 110-0-89 the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following conditions: 1. The main church assembly hall, meeting hall or sanctuary shall not be located on the premises; 2. Church related use of the premises shall be limited to • meetings and conferences, Sunday school and church offices. 3. The premises shall not be used for day care purposes; 4. No sleeping accommodations shall be provided on the premises; and -- 5. No meals shall be served, except for those normal -to the conduct of church related meetings and sunday school on the premises. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect form and after its passage, ' approval and publication in the manner provided by law. Introduced:,.
