HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1989-060-O-894-4-89 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use at 1330 Ridge Avenue WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals • conducted a public hearing on March 21, 1989, upon the i application of the Unitarian Church of Evanston for a special use to permit construction of a one-story addition to the existing church on the property located at 1330 Ridge Avenue, in an R1 Single -Family Residence District; said public hearings i having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has .recommended that the application for said special use be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and testimony presented at the hearing, and upon deliberations and findings of fact contained in the • i transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 89-1-SU(R), the application of the Unitarian Church of Evanston for a special use to permit construction of a one-story addition to the existing church on the property located at 1330 Ridge Avenue and legally described as follows: Lot 1 except that part of Lot 1 lying East and adjoining Lots 4 and 5 and West of the East Line of Lot 2 extended South to the South Line of Lot 1 all in the Subdivision of Lots 1 and 2 of owner's Subdivision of Block 44 of Evanston, according to the Map of Comstock's Subdivision recorded August 27, 1892 in Book 57 of Plats, Page 17, in Cook County, Illinois. I is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable laws and the following condition: The proposed construction shall be in substantial compliance with the testimony presented and the plans placed on file at the hearing as Applicant's Exhibit 1 in • connection with this case; the operation of a school not operated by the church, which was granted a special use by adoption of Ordinance 102-0-71, but which was subsequently discontinued in 1972, shall not again be instituted unless authorized in -1- w • • • 60-0-89 i accordance with the same procedures as those required by the Zoning Ordinance _[or a new special use. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. i SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the,manner provided by law.
