AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the Sale
of Personal Property Owned by the City of Evanston
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
• Evanston has determined that it is no longer necessary, practical
or economical for the best interests of the City of Evanston to
retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City

Council of the City of Evanston to sell said personal property at
a public auction to be held on Saturday, October 27, 1990 at
11:00 A.M.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND
;CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON:
SECTION 1: That Pursuant to Section 1-17-3(B)
• of the City Code of the City of Evanston of 1979, as amended, the
:City Council finds that the following described personal property
has an aggregate value in excess of one thousand five hundred
dollars ($1,500):

SECTION 2: Pursuant to said Section 1-17-3(B), the
City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager tT

set forth shall be accepted.

agreement for the sale of said personal property.
SECTION 6: Upon payment of the price indicated in the
successful bid, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directe�
to convey evidence of ownership to the aforesaid property to the
successful bidder(s).
SECTION 7: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTIONS: This ordinance shall be in full force an
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the
manner provided by law.
