HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1990-118-O-90118-0-90 10-17-90 AN ORDINANCE Vacating a Portion of Jackson Avenue Between Simpson Street and Green Bay Road BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF • EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a portion of Jackson Avenue between Simpson Street and Green Bay Road, legally described as follows: That part of Jackson Avenue described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Simpson Street and Jackson Avenue, thence northerly along the east property line of Jackson Avenue a distance of 372 feet, thence west at right angles to the east property line of Jackson Avenue a distance of 12 feet, thence southerly parallel to the east line of Jackson Avenue to the intersecting point on north line of Simpson Street, thence easterly along the i north line of Simpson Street to the point of beginning adjacent to and west of Block 10 in Evanston Center Addition all in east 1/2 of the southeast fractional 1/4 of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 13 east of the Third Principal Meridian, in the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, and as set forth on the Plat of Vacation attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby vacated and closed, subject to • the following terms and conditions: (a) That Roger Parris and Manchester Construction, the parties receiving the benefit of this vacation, shall pay to the City the total sum of twelve thousand eight hundred seventy-six dollars ($12,876.00) in consideration of and for said vacation. (b) That said vacation shall be subject to the usual easements for public utilities, including, but not limited to, such rights -of -way, license and easement rights to such equipment as is presently installed and located on those portions of the public right-of- way hereby closed and the rights of ingress and egress for the maintenance, renewal and • reconstruction thereof; (c) That a statement from the County Clerk is endorsed on the Plat of Vacation showing that no delinquent general taxes, unpaid current general taxes, 1 118-0-90 repealed. delinquent special assessments or unpaid current special assessments are against the aforedescribed land. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
