AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the Sale of Certain
Municipally Owned Real Property
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston owns the real property,
located at 1815 and 1817 Lemar Avenue legally described as
follows:
PARCEL 1: Lot 20 and the North 5 feet of Lot 21, in Block
2, in Arthur T. McIntosh's Church Street
Addition to Evanston, being Subdivision in the
Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
the Northwest quarter of Section 13, Township 41
North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
PARCEL 2: Lot 19 in Block 2 in A. T. McIntosh Church
Street Addition, a Subdivision of Section 13,
Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston
has determined that the use of the property is no.longer
necessary, appropriate, required, or in the best interest of the
City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Ciyy'of Evanston
has determined that the best interests of the City of Evansotn
would be served by the sale of said Property to qualified
parties who would develop the property in conformity with
residential or special use regulations applicable to the Zoning
District; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 23-0-90 of the City
of Evanston adopted March 25, 1990, the City Council by a vote
of 2/3 of the elected Alderman then holding office did direct
that the process to sell said Property shall be by bid; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance the Notice of
Proposal to Sell Real Estate has been published in a newspaper
of general circulation as required by Section 1-17-4.2 of the
. City Code; and
WHEREAS, Manchester Realty of 1813 Dempster,
Evanston, Illinois bid an amount of $13,101.00 for said
property; and

WHEREAS, the development conditions for said
property are as set forth on Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that
• the best interest of the City of Evanston and its residents will
be served by the sale of said property to Manchester Realty;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of
Evanston finds as fact the recitals
hereinabove set forth.
SECTION 2: The sale as a result of bid to
Manchester Realty, as buyer, is hereby
accepted by the City Council of the City of Evanston for the
following described real property:
PARCEL 1: Lot 20 and the North 5 feet of Lot 21, in Block
2, in Arthur T. McIntosh's Church Street
Addition to Evanston, being Subdivision in the
Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
the Northwest quarter of Section 13, Township 41
North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal
. Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
PARCEL 2: Lot 19 in Block 2 in A. T. McIntosh Church
Street Addition, a Subdivision of Section 13,
Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to sign, and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to attest, contracts for the
sale of the aforesaid real property. The City Manager is further
authorized to negotiate any changed or additional terms and
conditions with respect to the sale of the aforesaid real
property as may be deemed fit and proper.
SECTION 4: The City Manager and the City Clerk,
respectively, are hereby authorized and
directed to execute, attest and deliver such other documents,
. agreements and certificates as may be necessary to the sale
herein authorized, including other documents referred to in said
contracts.
SECTION 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 6: This ordinance -shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
