HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1990-017-O-903-2-90 5-10-90 • is 17-0-90 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use Permit at 1834 Chicago Avenue WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) conducted a public hearing on February 6, 1990, upon the i i application of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United i Methodist Church, Inc., (owner) and the University Christian Ministry for a special use to permit conversion of a single- family dwelling into an institutional headquarters for a i religious, not -for -profit organization on the property located i i at 1834 Chicago Avenue, in a U2 University District; said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said special use be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF i THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and i testimony presented at the hearing, and upon deliberations and findings of fact contained in the transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 89-47-SU(R), the application of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church, Inc., (owner) and the University Christian Ministry for a special use to permit conversion of a single-family dwelling into an institutional headquarters for a religious, not -for -profit organization on the property located at 1834 Chicago Avenue, in a U2 University District and legally described as follows: THE SOUTH 45 FT. OF THE NORTH 53 FT. OF LOT 14 IN BLOCK 10 IN EVANSTON IN SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 14, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following conditions: 1 17-0-90 1. Occupancy of the dwelling unit on the premises shall be limited to two unrelated adults or a family, not to consist of more than two related adults; and 2. Except. as -the permitted uses have been altered in this case, the property shall be used • entirely in conformance with all existing requirements of the 'Zoning Ordinance, including the off-street parking requirements, and the building codes, and any other applicable laws and ordinances. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after_ its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
