NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Evanston: SECTION 1: That it is hereby declared to be the policy of the City of Evanston: to seek agreement .from, all tax exempt institutions, that such institutions shall contri- • bute to the City of Evanston services or sums substantially equivalent to the cost of municipal services provided by the City to such institu- tions. The formula for determining such reasonable amounts shall be based upon the equalized assessed valuation of the institution's prop- erty benefited. The City of Evanston's tax rate shall be applied against such valuation for the purpose of determining the value in moneys or services for the furnishing of municipal services. SECTION 2: That the City Council is hereby directed to take all necessary steps to implement the policy herein established. ATTEST: City Clerk Adopted: , 1972. o
