HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1972-049-R-7249-f,,72 RESOLUTION Establishing Fair Market Value of Washington -Madison Properties WHEREAS, the City of Evanston, a municipal corporation, has made application under the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1970 for an open space grant; and WHEREAS, the Act required the applicant to adopt a resolu-, tion establishing the fair market value of each property to be acquired; and WHEREAS, each property to be acquired under the open space grant has been appraised by two independent appraisers; and WHEREAS, said independent appraisals.have been reviewed by an experienced staff appraiser; and WHEREAS, the reviewing appraiser has reviewed the appraisal reports and made on site inspections of the properties and determined that the appraisal reports were acceptable and properly documented; and WHEREAS, the staff appraiser has made a written report indicating his conclusion as to the fair market value of the properties to be acquired; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has reviewed the staff report submitted by the staff appraiser: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the -City Council'of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, that the following are found to be the fair market values, of each of the properties v .7 • • and the interest to be acquired therein: (a) 722-24 Washington Street, Evanston, Illinois Fee simple title owned by 722 Washington, Inc., $70,000 (b•) 726 Washington Street, Evanston, Illinois Fee simple title owned by Minnie C. Ebeling and Maretta P. Friedlund . $27,000 (c) 719 Madison Street, Evanston, Illinois Fee simple title owned by Catherine G. Jans .and Gloria C. Grantham $332000 (d) 723 Madison Street Evanston, Illinois Fee simple title owned by Frank DeGeorge and Frances DeGeorge $26,500 ` (e) 727 Madison Street Evanston, Illinois Fee simple title owned by Benigno Fantozzi and Rose M.
