A RESOLUTION
•
To set up a Financial Plan
for the Acquisition of Marywood
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution 65-R-74 on Oct-
ober 4, 1974, which Resolution:
1. found that the Marywood property should be pur-
chased and developed as a Civic Center; and
2. that the Civic Center Committee should stay in
existence to assist in the fulfillment of said
finding; and
3. that the Civic Center Committee should prepare
a recommendation for funding said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Civic Center Committee has met pursuant to the
aforesaid directive given by the Council in Resolution 65-R-74
and carefully considered proposals for funding said project:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT
A. the Civic Center project be funded up to a total
cost of $3,000,000; and
B. that the aforesaid sum of $3,000,000 include cost
of acquisition and rehabilitation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds referred to in Sub -
Paragraph A above be raised by the issuance of General Obligation
Bonds; an.d

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby in-
structed to begin negotiations for the acquisition of the prop-
erty including obtaining an appraisal, and to recommend appropri-
ate action regarding the -acquisition to the City. Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is instructed
to take the necessary steps for the bond sale, including prepara-
tion of a prospectus and, advertising for bids.
