HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1975-033-O-75• • • s • 33-0-75 RESOLUTION Upon the Occasion of the Retirement of ALDERMAN JAMES B. MORAN WHEREAS, ALDERMAN JAMES B. MORAN served as alderman of the Third Ward of the City of Evanston during the years 1971 to 1975; and WHEREAS, during his tenure as alderman, he served as a member of the Committee on Committees, the Northwestern University Advisory Committee, the Transportation Committee, the Committee !� to Review the Status of Tax Exempt.Institutions, the Township 1' Committee, the Legal Assistance Committee, and as a member and chairman of the Human Services Committee; and WHEREAS, ALDERMAN MORAN worked diligently for the adoption of Evanston's scattered housing plan and its Rehabilitation f' Ordinance and devoted many hours to the improvement of township services and police -community relations, as well as the adoption of the important United Budget process which will bring better coordination between human service funding agencies;.and i; WHEREAS, ALDERMAN MORAN was extremely helpful to the city �j in his ability to find common solutions among diverse and tr jj conflicting opinions on city problems; and {{� WHEREAS ALDERMAN JAMES B. MORAN has served the citizens d i i of his ward, as well as the citizens of the entire city, with s� j distinction, giving most liberally of his time, energy, and ability; NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT -RESOLVED that this City Council on behalf of itself, the Mayor, City Manager, City officials, and Ethe residents of this community, do hereby express great (.appreciation to ALDERMAN JAMES B. MORAN for his service to the City of Evanston, and regret the occasion of his retirement as alderman. • r r BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be made a IIII j part of the permanent records of the city, and that a copy, executed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be sent to the said ALDERMAN JAMES B.
