RESOLUTION
Upon the Occasion of the
Retirement of
ALDERMAN JAMES F. PITTSFORD
WHEREAS, ALDERMAN JAMES F. PITTSFORD served as alderman
of the First Ward of the City of Evanston during the years
is 1971 to 1975; and
,
WHEREAS, during his tenure as alderman, he served as a
it
member of the Committee on Committees, the Waste Collection
Committee, the Long Term Care Committee, the Community Develop-
ment Act Committee, the City -School Liaison Committee, the
Unified Budget Committee, the Special Committee to consider the
need for an Allied Arts Council, and as chairman of the Capital
Improvements Committee and as a member and chairman of the
Human Services Committee; and
WHEREAS, ALDERMAN PITTSFORD participated in the improved
economic development of the City during his term and in leading
the production of the important capital improvement plan for the
i City; and
WHEREAS, ALDERMAN JAMES F. PITTSFORD has served the citizens
of his ward, as well as the citizens of the entire city, with
distinction, giving most liberally of his time, energy and
ability;
NOW, THEREFORE, BET IT RESOLVED that this City Council on
behalf of itself, the Mayor, City Manager, City officials, and
the residents of this community, do hereby express great appre-
ciation to.ALDERMAN JAMES F. PITTSFORD for his service to the
City of Evanston, and regret the occasion of his retirement
as alderman.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be made a part
of the permanent records of the city, and that a copy, executed
by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be sent to the said
ALDERMAN JAMES F. PITTSFORD.
