HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1975-058-R-7558-R-75 e A RESOLUTION Establishing Just Compensation for 1817 Church Street and Authorizing the City Manager to Enter Into Purchase Negotiations WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council, with the passage of City Resolution* 11-R-75, did approve an application for Community Development Block Grant entitlement funds and did direct the City Manager to file said application with i the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the'City's application was approved on June 4, 1975 by said ,U. S. Department; and WHEREAS, the City's application contains a Community Development program i I � ;which directs that 1817 Church Street, Evanston, Illinois be acquired; and f IWHEREAS, the City must comply with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 in the purchase of all 'property, including 1817 Church Street, funded with the Community Development Block Grant; and WHEREAS, said Act requires that the City shall adopt a resolution which I 1(1) establishes just compensation, (2) identifies the property by name of owner, arcel number or other identification, 3 delimits the p ( ) property and the i interest to be acquired, (4) certifies that the work of the appraisers and the I !review appraiser with respect to the property has been performed in a.competent i manner; and WHEREAS, the City Staff has prepared a Review Report which analyzes the two appraisals made of the subject property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois certifies that the work of the appraisers and i ;the review appraiser with respect to the property at 1817 Church Street has been performed in a competent manner and that the just compensation for the fee simple title to the property at 1817 Church Street, Evanston, Illinois ,(real estate parcel number 10-13-220-030) is Forty -Eight Thousand dollars I '($48,000.). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Evanston authorizes its City Manager to enter into purchase negotiations with the owner pf said property.
