Building Inspectors Pursuant to Subpoenae WHEREAS, certain parties to forcible entry and detainer cases are deceived in defending such cases due to their inability to call as witnesses inspectors of the City of Evanston due to their inability to pay the statutory subpoena fee for such appearances; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston finds that such inability • :7 to pay required fees may result. in an injustice to persons so situated; i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois: That where the presence of a I;ity inspector is required to establish a defense to a forcible entry and detainer litigant who is incapable of providing a statutory fee and who has been given leave of Court to proceed in such litigation as a pauper, it shall be the policy of the City of Evanston to waive. the statutory subpoena fee for the appearance of a City inspector in a Court of record within the City. 3 } 's �j ATTEST: Mailrira F.
