HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1976-050-R-768/17/76 50-R-76 RESOLUTION A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Apply For Land and Water Conservation Program Funds WHEREAS, the Department of Interior, Bureau of Outdoor Recreation's Land and Water Conservation Fund Program (Public Law 88-578 passed September 3, 1964) provides financial assistance to local governments for development of outdoor recreation resources; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston desires financial assistance under the Land and Water Conservation Fund Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois: 1. That the City Council of the City of Evanston hereby approves filing an application for Land and Water Conservation Fund financial assistance for the development of Lovelace Park in the amount of $187,500. 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute and file an application with the Department of Conservation, State of Illinois and to provide all information and documentation re- -quired in said application for submission to the State of Illinois. 3. That the City Council of the City of Evanston hereby does agree to obligate the funds required to complete the proposed project and thus become eligible for Land and Water.
