HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1976-030-R-76` 4�4:r k ' FIN j i4 , 6-3-76 30-R-76 RESOLUTION Creating a Cul-de-Sac at the 2600 Block of Girard Avenue i 1n WHEREAS, Ordinance 96-0-73, adopted November 26, 1973, granted certaini relief to Evanston Hospital (hereafter "the Hospital") from the provisions of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, adopted November 21, 1969, as they applied to' property owned by the Hospital in consideration of certain conditions to be met by the Hospital; and WHEREAS, one of the aforesaid conditions provided that the Hospital shall bear the full and total expense of any and all changes to Girard Avenue required by the City Traffic Engineer due to the then proposed hospital construction in- cluding, among other things, the physical closing of the roadway; and WHEREAS, it is the joint recommendation of the City Traffic Engineer and the Hospital that such physical closing be permanently effected: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, that that portion of the public way designated as Girard Avenue, in the approximate area of the 2600 block of said public way, said property being legally described as: The area of Girard Avenue in the City of Evanston from a point commencing at Eight Hundred and Twenty-five (825) feet north of the south line of Block 18 of the University Subdivision terminating at a point two and eight -tenths (2.8) feet north of the south.line of lot 56 in Block 1 in Ira Brown's Subdi- vision, all in the South Section of the Quilmette Reservation, in part of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 35, Township 42 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois be permanently closed by the construction of a permanent cul-de-sac, the cost for the said construction to be borne totally and completely by Evanston Hospi- tal in accordance with the terms of Ordinance 96-0-73. /s/ Ned Lauterbach Mayor Pro Tem ^� ATTEST: :X /s/ Maurice F.
