A RESOLUTION
Relating tb the Adopting of the Traffic Code Recodification

WHEREAS, a recodification of the traffic ordinance has been submitted
i
!� to the City Council for its consideration; and
i
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to continue in force and
effect existing traffic regulations as they pertain to established traffic
controls such as stop intersections, parking regulations, one way streets,
speed limitations and the like; and _.
WHEREAS, the recodification may have omitted, by inadvertance or
a
oversight, certain regulatory enactments heretofore approved by the City
j Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF '
EVANSTON:
That in the event existing traffic regulations have been inadvertently
i
omitted from ordinance 112-0-75, the City Manager, upon notification of such ;
error or omission, shall cause to be submitted to the City Council, an
ji appropriate ordinance or ordinances providing for the amendment of the recod-
ification, together with a statement that such amendment rectifies an error
i or omission in said traffic ordinance recodification. 1
Further, it is the consensus of the City Council that the passage of
such ordinances shall be expedited so that the desired result of continuity of
established traffic regulation may be achieved.
