Y r • � • �� �' � •?ja.r 'ir'C �.Rr {,�Sr, y ' n:."; `r{r. <:i;.a,C f`+.��K^r „Y�'z. °,�+,,'a''' c`^n� _" pa:. ^ i �� d�4`� � �a-�"~ `' ':".t a' c r ♦ �r . ti :.Ci+i. � �,r�; :� ���', j 5-R-76 .y RESOLUTION WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Evanston City Council that the Westcor Shopping Center Development shall provide stimulation to and enhance- ment of the existing business community; and WHEREAS, the disruption to present businesses and merchants, both during and after construction, particularly in regard to parking, should be as minimal as possible: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Evanston, through its Economic Development Committee, shall proceed imme- diately to explore with Downtown merchants, the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, and other appropriate organizations and persons, solutions to parking problems that will occur during the construction period, as well as long-range parking resources; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council shall give priority attention so that the architecture and the design of the Westcor Shopping Center Development shall be such that it includes the present business dis- trict to the maximum degree possible. In addition-, all other ways that might contribute to incorporating the existing business district with the proposed Shopping Center shall be considered.
