HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1977-058-R-77• r 1 L_J 58-R-77 RESOLUTION Upon the Occasion of the Death of CHARLES BROWN, JR, WHEREAS, CHARLES BROWN, JR. departed this life on September 20, 1977; and WHEREAS, CHARLES BROWN, JR. served as an employee of the City of Evanston; and WHEREAS, CHARLES BROWN, JR. had lived and worked in Evanston for many years and served as a positive example to all who came in contact with him, especially the youth of this community; and WHEREAS, CHARLES BROWN, JR. was considered by all who knew him to be courteous, thoughtful, and a true gentleman in every respect; and WHEREAS, Charles was respected by his co-workers and by his many friends as a man of the highest integrity who treated all people fairly, equally, and with respect; and WHEREAS, the passing of CHARLES BROWN, JR. represents a serious loss to the community of Evanston; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Evanston to pay tribute to CHARLES BROWN, JR.: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the City Council of the City of Evanston, on behalf of ourselves, the Mayor, the City Manager, the officials, and all citizens of this community that we express our profound regret upon the occasion of the death of CHARLES BROWN, JR., and tender to the bereaved members of his family our heart- felt sympathy; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be made a part of the permanent records of the City, and that a suitable copy thereof, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk, be sent to the members of his bereaved family.
