upon the occasion of the death
of
HAROLD J. CLARK
MIMEREAS, HAROLD J. CLARK, former City Attorney and
attorney for the Board of Local Improvements, departed this
life on Friday, August S. 19Sfl, and
WHEREAS* HAROLD J. CLARK, during his lifetime sarwd
as City Attorney between the years of 19U and'1933 and as
attorney for the Beard of Local Improvements for the City of
Evanston between the years of 1937 and 1941 and, in addition,
was a former trustee of Northwestern University, President of
the Evanston Y:M.C,A., as well as a director of the Chicago
Crime Commission, and at the time of his death was attorney for
Evanston School District No. 699 and
WHEREAS, Evanston citizens are aware of his interest
in civic affairs and his untiring efforts in behalf of the
City of Evanstoo,and
1WREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the
City of Evanston to pay tribute to HAROLD J. CLARK.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members, of the
City Council of the City of Evanston, on behalf of ourselves,
the Mayor, the City Manager, the officials as wall as the
citizens of this cownunity, we express profound regret upon
the occasion of the death of HAROLD J. CLARK and tender to
the bereaved members of his family our heartfelt sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be mad*
a part of the permanent records of the city and that a suitable
Sopy thereof, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City
Cierlt be sent to the members of his bereaved famU#.
