HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1959-002-R-59032 2-R-59 • A RESOLUTION providing for the abatement of certain 1959 bond principal and interest tax levies. YrHEREAS, the three Eire Stations authorized to be financed from proceeds of the Fire Station Bonds have now been constructed and equipped, and sufficient moneys remain in this bond fund to pay the principal paysaennts of $25#000.00 on the Fire Station Bonds due November 11 19609 the Merest payments of $7,031.25 on said bonds due May 19 1960, and the interest payments of $79031.25 on said bonds due November 11, 1960; and WHEREAS, all equipment authorized to be purchased from proceeds of the Garbage Equipment Bonds has now been purchased, and sufficient moneys remain in this bond fund to pay the principal payments of $159000.00 on the Garbage Equipment Bonds due November 1, 19609 the interest payments of S168.75 on said bonds due. May • 1, 1960, and the interest payments of $168.75 on said bonds due November 1, 1960; and WHEREAS, all equipment authorized to be purchased from proceeds of the Street and Bridge Equipment Bonds has now been purchased, and sufficient uonsys re- main in this bond fund to pay the principal payments of $10,000.00 on the Street and Bridge Equipment Bonds due November 10 1%09 the interest payments of $112.50 on said bonds due May 10 1%0, and the interest payments of $112.50 on said bonds due November 19 1960; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that'the 1959 tax levies for bond principal and interest payments due in 1960 on the Fire Station Bonds, the Garbage Equipment Bonds, and the Street and Bridge Equipment Bonds shall be abated to as to reduce the 1959 City of Evanston tax levy for bond principal and interest by the total amount of $64,625.00; and HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk file with the County Clerk • of the County of Cook, in the State of Illinois, a duly certified copy of this "s- olution, and said County Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to reduce the City of Evanston'i 1959 tax levy for bond principal and interest in the manner contem- plated by this resolution. 033 LJ i A PPAOVEn Mayor ATTEST City Clerk Adopted. fiv &%j.q.,, 1959 • Recorded , 1959 0 034 ONT 5 M UNIFORM Cl' REPORT PRESENTED AT A MEETING OF COUNCIL OFFICIAL BUSINESS HELD ON 19 — MOTION aV SECONDED .� CITY OF EVANSTON.
