HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1959-015-R-590 15-R-59 RESOLUTION Upon the occasion of the death of ALICE MARY JUDSON WHEREAS, ALICE MARY JUDSON, member of a pioneer Evanston family died November 29, 19591 and WHEREAS, ALICE MARY JUDSON. a long time resident of Evanston, was the wife of the late Harry Beveridge Judson, a grandson of the late Rev. Philo Judson, first minister of the First Methodist Church of Evanston, and first Vice - President and fiscal agent of Northwestern University, and who Flatted the Town of Evanston and in honor of whom Judson Avenue was later nameds and WHEREAS, ALICE MARY JUDSON was one of the -founders of the Women's Club of Evanston and member of the Little • Garden Club, and is survived by her daughter Helen J. James, wife of Alderman Robert E. James, and is also survived by her son Bryant E. Judson of Oceanside, California. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the City Council of the City of Evanston, on behalf of ourselves, the Mayor, the City Manager, the officials as well as the citizens of this community, we express profound regret upon the occasion of the death of ALICE MARY JUDSON and tender to the bereaved members of her family our heartfelt sympathy. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be made a part of the permanent records of the city and that a suitable i • 071 0 LJ • copy thereof, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be sent to the members of her bereaved family. Ma yor ,-ity 'Clerk y'l 072 R E S 0 L U T I 0 N WHEREAS, all checks or warrants drawn upon the City • Treasurer, except for the checks or warrants drawn upon the accounts payable and payroll imprest accounts, must be signed by the Mayor, City Treasurer, and City Comptroller, or their respective deputies; and WHEREAS, all checks or warrants drawn upon the Ac- counts Payable Imprest Account established by Resolution 28-R- 55 and the Payroll Imprest Account established by Resolution 17-R-55 must be signed by the City Treasurer or his deputy; and WHEREAS, an incumbency change and the designation of new deputies necessitates that check or warrant signatories be redesignated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the fol- lowing individuals are authorized signatories of City of Evanston checks and warrants in the capacities shown: Mayor Mayor's Deputy City Treasurer Deputy Treasurer John R.
