A RESOLUTION
• Providing for certain appropri-
ation transfers within the
General Fund, Water Fund, and
Playgxound and Recreation Fund.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston did on the twenty-
third day of January, 19619 adopt an ordinance (2-0-61) making appropriations for
corporate purposes for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1961 and ending Decem-
ber 31, 1961, which ordinance made certain lump -sum appropriations within certain
funds for compensation adjustments to be made during the year; and
WHEREAS, the salary increases for the year in recognition of meritor-
ious performance have now been granted; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to make certain transfers, in accordance
with Chapter 24, Section8-2-9, of the Illinois Revised Statutes, 19619 from the.
lump -sum appropriations for compensation adjustments to various personal services
appropriations so as to increase those personal services appropriations by the
amounts required to cover raises granted;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the sum of $15,800 be transferred
from General Fund appropriation 850.100 (Provision for compensation adjustments) to
the following appropriations in the following amounts:

with the Chicago Police Department, his twelve years as Chief
of Polite of the City of Evanston, nine years as Chief of police
of the Village of Hinsdale and five years as Chief of Police
of the Village of Maywood! and
VMKAS, Evanston citizens are aware of his excellent
police administration during his tenure of office as Chief of
Police for the City of Evanston, during which time he established
an excellent record as the Chief Police Administratere and
NHURAB, it is the desire of the City Council of the
City of Evanston to pay tribute to WILLIAM 0. FRIVKMe
IrftN THNUIP E, BE IT RESOLVBD by the members of the City
Council of the City of Evanston, on behalf of ourselves, the
Mayor, the City Manager, the officials as well as the citizens
of this community, we express profound regret upon the occasion
of the untimely death of WILLIAM 0. FREEMAN, and tender to the
bereaved members of his family our heartfelt sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be sade a
