ILLINOIS RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PREVAILING WAGES (CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE) is WHEREAS, Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, 398-1, 39s-12, Prevailing Wage Law, as amended August 8, 1961, requires that the public body awarding any contract for public work or doing the work by day labor shall ascertain the gen- eral prevailing hourly rate of wages for employees engaged on such work, and WHEREAS, the Statutes further provide that said rates of pay be publicly posted and/or kept available for inspection by any interested party and a certi- fied copy thereof promptly filed in the office of the Secretary of State. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, State of Illinois, that the determination of the prevailing wages as set forth below are the prevailing hourly rates of wages being paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics engaged in the construction of highways and streets in this locality and such public buildings coming under the jurisdiction of this City.
