That said City Council believes that recognition, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County, Illinois, of the Steering Committee of the North Cook County Office of Economic Opportunity which was selected in June and which has petitioned said Board for recognition; is desirable, so that poverty allevi- ation programs may be developed and presented for independent evaluation on their own merits; 2. That said City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager and other appropriate employees of the. City of Evanston to cooperate with said North Cook County Steering Cori,-nittee in the collection and presentation of information coheerning under- privileged persons and substandard living conditions in Evanston: 3.
