HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1966-007-R-66to `} 8 7 - R - 66 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has certain liens that are unpaid and defaulted special assessments against the following described real estate situated in the City of Evanston, County of Cook, and State of Illinois: Lots Twenty (20) and Twenty-one (21) in Block Five (5) in Brown and Culver's Addition to Evanston, a subdivision in Section Thirteen (13), Township Forty -One (41) North, Range Thirteen (13), East of the Third Principal Meridian; and WHEREAS, the owner of said real estate has failed to pay installments numbered 1 to 10, inclusive, of S.A. 636, the principal amount of these in- stallments being $652.98; and installments numbered 1 to 10, inclusive, of S.A. 1207, the principal amount of these installments being $86.30; and WHEREAS, the owner of said property has agreed to pay the City of isEvanston the sum of $739.28, representing the full principal amount without interest and penalties., in full payment and satisfaction of the special P � P 3'n► Pe assessment liens against said property as described; and WHEREAS, there are no bonds outstanding against any of these special assessments involved, the property is vacant, and the property can be develop- ed and returned to the tax rolls when its title is cleared; and WHEREAS, the City Council has decided that acceptance of this settlement is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Evanston: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Collector be and here- by is authorized to accept the sum of $739.28 in full settlement of all prin- • 2- cipal, interest, and penalties due the City of Evanston by virtue of the special assessment liens under Special Assessments 636 and 1207 against the above described property.
