HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1966-006-R-66.. . -%_- MEff R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has certain liens that are unpaid and defaulted special assessments against the following described real estate situated in the City of Evanston, County of Cook, and State of Illinois: Lots Nine (9) and Ten (10) in Block Two (2) in Thayer Is Subdivision in Section Twelve (12) Township Forty -One (bl) North, Range Thirteen (13), East of the Third Prin- cipal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, the owner of said real estate has failed to pay install- ments numbered 3 to 5, inclusive, of S.A.549, the principal amount of these installments being $46.50, installments numbered 3 to 5, inclusive, of S.A.559, the principal amount of these installments being $38.22; installments numbered 1 to 10, inclusive, of S.A. 638, the principal amount of these installments being $476.90, installment 1 of S.A. 996, the principal amount of this install- 0 ment being $162.60; and installments 1 to 10, inclusive, of S.A. 1207, the principal amount of these installments being $42.60; and WHEREAS, the owner of said property has agreed to pay the City of Evanston the sum of $766.82, representing the full principal amount without interest and penalties, in full payment and satisfaction of the special assessment liens against said property as described; and WHEREAS, there are no bonds outstanding against any of the special, assessments involved, the property is vacant, and the property can be developed and returned to the tag rolls when its title is cleared; and -2- WHEREAS, the City Council has decided that acceptance of this settlement is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Evanston: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Collector be and hereby is authorized to accept the sum of $766.82 in full settlement of all principal, interest, and penalties due the City of Evanston by virtue of the special assessment liens under Special Assessments 549, 559, 638, 996, and 1207 against the above described property. /s/ John D.
