A RESOLUTION
Revising The 1978 CDBG
Program Application
4/10/79
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council, with the passage of Resolution
9-R-78 did approve an application for Community Development Block Grant en-
titlement funds, and did direct the City Manager to file said application
with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the said application was approved June 28, 1978 by said
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and

WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council by Resolution 33-R-78 did
authorize the City Manager to take the necessary actions to implement the 1978
Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act Committee has
approved a new activity for implementation and has considered increased fund-
ing for three (3) existing projects; and
WHEREAS, implementation of said activities would require the re-
allocation of certain 1978 Community Development Block Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act Committee did
set aside a meeting to hear public opinion on said activities and increased
• funding according to the City's Community Development Citizen Participation
Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, hereby amends.the 1978 Community Develop-

ment Grant application and authorizes the following new activity and increased
allocations for existing projects:
1. New Activity
Bikeways..... $8,000.00
2. Increased Allocations for Existing Projects
Emergency Housing Personnel..... $ 8,776.00
Chicago Avenue/Dempster Street
Improvement Project.......... $ 3,588.20
Park Development - Grey,
Mason and Monroe Parks....... $34,706.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the additional funds required for the
implementation of the aforementioned projects will be reallocated from the
1978 Unspecified Local Option Account and other 1978 Community Development
I Block Grant accounts.in which funds remain unencumbered at this time.
