Novu motion to purchase five ab rollers from Precise Exercise Equipment for a total putrchase
price of SI.a00. Seconded by Ellis. Motion approved 3-0.
Ellis discussed purchase of equipment for reserve truck. Chief Wilkinson diseuss.td
purchase of smoke ejector fans. Klaiber indicated need to determine if funds are
available in FD budget for purchase cif such items
Klaiber stated Vice President Vacala's status k%ould soon be changing with his
retirement and the need for a special election Will post upon retirement.
Old Business: Chief Whalen indicated the City Council approved in CIP S40,006:0 for
purchase of equipment for ALS engines. He stated total cost for equipping 4 ALS
engines %%ould be $65,632.90. As a result, per the motion made at the last FFT13
meeting, the FFTB contribution would be 25,632.90. Motion bN Ellis for FFTB to
purchase equipment for a fifth ALS engine, staying within the parameters of the
original motion. Discussion followed. Whalen stated total cost of equipping the fifth
engine could be $13, 838. As a result, the total contribution from the FFTB would be
less than $40.000. Motion approved 3-0.
Discussion followed regarding retro-fitting engine 2I, 23 and reserve engine.
Discussed costs. Whalen to check with fleet sen ice regarding funding and report back
to the FFTB
Ellis stated the situation regarding the purchase of the Highland Park reserve Tr-ick has
finally been resolved.
Motion to adjourn by Ellis, seconded by Klaiber. 'Motion approved 3-0.
